[Giles is very good at noticing when someone's trying to sneak around. And, as he's heading home with some groceries, he does notice someone lurking and...hey, wait a second.

He pauses, watching Katie as she tries to be stealthy.]

[...busted. How did you see through her ninja-like stealthiness-- well. Katie turns a suspicious look Giles' way, which softens a bit when she recognises him. Then she shakes her head.]

[Who needs sleep? Not this guy. Ever. Except when he crashes and crashes hard after two nights of coffee and roaming. By now, Katie's presence is somewhat familiar and one of the few he knows fairly well in Luceti. He follows, flash-stepping closer and not really intent on revealing himself while he tries to figure out why she's out and about.

[He knows when he's been discovered; her tense shoulders and the cat giving him the evil eye rather give it away. He raises a brow. He'd been keeping his reiatsu under wraps and he knew he'd been quiet.]

[When Katie finally gets back to her room, she will find a knight slumped forward asleep on a chair next to her bed. He's got a book dangling from one hand, and a cup of tea (long cold) on her bedside table.

Sigmund has apparently given up on hunting Katie down when she runs off. Maybe he'll go after her if she's not back in the morning.]

[...oh dear. This could be awkward. Especially as she just let herself in via the wall. Hopefully the additional moonlight in the room isn't enough to wake him, so she'll just ... try to let that created door close silently, which is a little hard with one hand carefully hidden away in one pocket of her pinafore.

If the light doesn't get his attention, the sharp click of a door where there shouldn't be a door may. Perhaps if she's very lucky, he'll sleep through both.]

[She is only partially lucky. The click does wake him up, and the book falls to the floor with a thud, but as is often the case with being woken abruptly, it takes a few moments of blank staring before he becomes reoriented. It's long enough that he doesn't realize where the click came from, though when he looks around the room, it's hard to miss Katie.]

[That's lucky enough for her. After the mess with Edward, she'd rather not push her luck. And she smiles, though she looks rather sheepish.]
