Housemates might note she keeps coming home covered in sand and tired enough to actually go to bed at a decent hour. And she's quiet. Brook's gone home, and so's Zoro, and she heard Archie got hurt (and she needs to ask him about that at some point)...

[Hi, Lucy! Meet Katie, who seems intent on taking every last piece of chalk from the art section. She does glance up briefly, smiles, goes back to her chalk-- and then blinks and glances up again as if looking at Lucy properly for the first time.]

[ the resident vampire slayer is in the item shop -- picking through suspiciously vampire-related items. trying to find a cross or two. maybe some holy water if it manages to show up (but it never does).

at one point she even takes a broom handle and snaps it in two, experimentally staking an invisible enemy in front of her. ]

[Oh, my. Buffy will already have her full attention. She's seen you before. Just...not in person. Katie keeps a little distance for now, though-- Buffy's own echoes aren't the nicest of things-- but the slayer has picked up a very avid watcher, peeking around the edge of the shelves with a little awe.

[ most of those echoes are pretty dire, yes. but some are triumphant. majestically victorious, by times. either way there is no mistaking the fact that this young woman has lived an awful lot.

eventually, she notices the girl peeking and with a flourishless maneuver she pockets the make-shift stakes. ]

However, such thoughts escape him at the moment. Some of his usual pep is on standby - loss of crew will do that - though it can't be said he's not keeping up appearances otherwise. And he looks excited to see her, when she slips through the doors]

Any type of fish you might like! [He ushers her toward a table, thinking the entire way, since how he plans to figure out which one she'd prefer when lying is her forte... hm.

Well, in either case, he slips her a menu and opens it straight to the seafood section. He... really wasn't kidding about there being every type of fish]

Go ahead and pick whatever you want.

[Glooorious fish. *_* But at least she can make this part relatively easy; Katie doesn't recognise half of these dishes, but she'll point to the first dish she sees that seems to have bucketloads of salmon in it. |Db] How about this one?
