It's going to be a little long, sorry. But it was such a long and amazing update, I couldn't resist.
Part I:

Matt turned it back off with more force than necessary. “Are you really going to fuck with me right now?”
O-ow! Interesting start.

Unsurprisingly, Min wasn’t cowed. He never was these days, despite the way he sometimes pretended it in public.
Well, I think Alex has no reason to be cowed anymore and I‘m, glad for that.

This moment was no exception. Seeing Min’s hand reach for the stereo from the corner of his eye, Matt batted it away. “Seriously, you need to fucking stop. What is wrong with you?”
With him?! Oh Matt.

Min had the gall to give him a disgusted look. “If you had fucking thought to tell me this, then I would’ve known what was going on!”
That’s true!

Matt didn't really have an answer for that, except the obvious, that he had no obligation to tell Min everything about his business. But saying that aloud would only make the current situation even uglier.
Oh yes, it would.

Then the deal would’ve fallen through the

Yep, plenty of the boys egging each other on at the beginning here... they know just how to piss each other off lol. But Matt did manage to sneak a nice thing or two in there, even as he was very thick-headed about some other things... Yes, they have learned what things not to say at least though.

And yeah, Matt still has that fear of Alex disappearing on him again.

I liked how you captured especially Matt feelings and the development of his thinking of Alex. Yes, he still considers Min as his slave. But things are not the same for him as they were a few months (weeks) ago.

Yes, things are definitely different between them in Part 5 versus Part 4. They know each other better, and Matt is definitely past the point of thinking of Alex as just another slave. There's a special category now for 'Min.' And yet...

Oh that ownership thing. Sigh.

Part II:

Matt's face reddened as he realized Min was right. He hadn't explained because a slave wasn't owed any explanation. Yet if he'd given it some thought beforehand he would neither have expected nor wanted Min to be indifferent to him showing interest in someone else. He'd even noticed the attention Garthen paid him was annoying Min, but Matt hadn't believed he would do anything about it in public. He'd been wrong about that, and about not sparing a minute to tell Min about the possible deal with Garthen.
I’m really glad Matt was able to realize he had been wrong not to telling Alex.

He was jealous of Garthen. Pleased, Matt embraced him. That reveal melted the last of his anger over Lofton. It even took away the sting of the lost deal. Min had never shown jealousy before

I'm glad you found that good here, Matt admitting to wrongdoing here in regards to Alex, and realizing he was hurt. And of course I had to have the gradual melting even as he wasn't forgiving Matt yet. :D

Some sweet moments tucked into the chapter. I'm happy you liked them. :-)

Yep, that 'partner' slipped out of clueless Matt. :D

Well I do have to say that in this argument they were both well represented and they listened to each other.

However as Team Matt's Head Cheerleader I have to say that Min is not suffering enough for the hurt he has doled out to Matt. Matt has been paying for the way he treated Min yet stupid Alex is too self obsessed to care about Matt's feelings. Why is he always surprised that he has hurt Matt. And he still doesn't seem to be trying to reconcile his Min impulses into Alex. Instead he just seems to be trying to turn Matt into Kate. And if Kate and her job and ideals and lifestyle were so perfect then he should have stayed with her.

I don't mean that Min is punishing Matt. I mean that in his own thoughts Matt is still punishing himself for the ways in which he hurt Min. And Min doesn't think twice about the ways he hurt Matt is my point. And what is most annoying is it seems that this shortcoming of his is centered around Matt. Min is capable of feeling guilt for his actions that have hurt other people just not Matt.

This comment is where I got the Kate thing from this chapter - Min's eyes glittered. “No, he had no right to touch me. But this has nothing to do with 'belonging' to you or not. The fact that you still support a system that allows him to think such behavior is acceptable is unfathomable to me.” And I've noticed it in other 'discussions' of how Matt should change. It's not terribly blatant but it seems to me that because he is so stuck in Alex mode that he is unconsciously looking for Kate in Matt because that is his ideal mate when in Alex mode. He hasn't made any of the changes to incorporate Min and until he does I think he is going to be

I'm so sorry but somehow I missed this part, didn't realise until I came to read the most recent part posted.

With very small steps these two seem to be moving forward... thank God!!
