Inspired by a recent conversation about the topic with rymenhild, I've decided to take a census on the matter:
If a tree falls in a forest, and there is no one there to hear it, does it make a sound? All comments and rationales are welcome!

Oh neglected livejournal, blame my psych of women paper, all 12 pages (15 counting two pages of references and one cover page) of which was handed in on Monday, and I think totally rocks, so it's all good. I had a lot of fun yesterday seeing my relatives, especially the part when my cousin surprised everybody by showing up at the door dressed as Elmo in a big furry costume with the head and everything!
