I know I gave you a hard time about this yesterday, and then like a hypocrite told you I wanted to read it this morning because, well, actually, yeah, it would be hot, and it was, but I was also pleasantly surprised by the stuff that surrounded it.

Because it's not just hot, you know? You somehow always manage to add this whole other depth to it where, yeah, there's sex happening but really that's just the first layer, what's really happening beneath the surface, the reason behind what's happening, is so much more than the sex will ever be.

Bloody brilliant this was, Flissybear. Or as Cookie would say, 'nice one babe!'♥

Right, ok so you're always really good at making things about more than just the sex, and it's something I appreciate in your writting. Cook is my favourite male character, and I like him interacting with any of the others, Naomi in particular, but Emily and him also have an interesting dynamic, which is rarely explored. I really feel for him in this actually, where he's being used by Emily for something, and yet he's alright with it because of the sex. And of course there's Emily, who is still in pain from Naomi cheating and doesn't know what to do with it all. I really liked this piece and I don't think it would have been too far fetched for this to happen on the show. Certainly makes more sense than her sleeping with JJ!

LOL, God - a lobotomy makes more sense than her sleeping with JJ. I mean, honestly - if she had been upset and used JJ in the way she uses Cook here then I would have accepted it more. Like, it wouldn't have been a nice thing to do but it would have made more sense to me - for her to take control of a situation with probably the only character on the show who has... I was going to say less strength but that's not quite right. Hmm. Less something anyway!

Glad you liked this - I really wasn't sure whether or not to post it. I just fancied writing it and then was like 'meh, why not?'

Cook is by far my favourite male character, across gens even. He does some fucking awful things at times but overall he's appealing. And, like, really - I know they'd never do this, but at the same time he could give a friend what she wanted, and take at the same time, and be okay with it. On the show, he'd never do this with Emily, just like at this stage he'd never fuck Naomi.

LOL, I almost didn't include anything about the tattoo, because I just DON'T understand what it could look like but... if it's canon, Emily would see it and be like 'wtf?'.

I like the idea of Cook/Emily fucking (obv) but I wouldn't ship them. I find it easier to put Emily with Cook than I would Katie though... IDK why! I think I just want to put Katie in a little bubble and look after her forever.

I resisted the incest and yet I read Emily/Cook. There is something wrong with this picture. I blame you, flis. And Cook and Emily for being too damn hot, and clearly now too hot together.
What I like about it is how filthy yet casual it is. And how it's all about sex and yet it's all about hurt, and comfort, and grabbing what you can't have. And it's funny, them fucking, if you take it out of context, and yet it's sad and desperate and passionate once you look in.
