I loved this, I adore this caring side of Katie. I love Katie's resistance at first, that she tries to take some sort of moral high ground in her head even though she knows what she wants and that no one would really judge her. It's hard for me to imagine what Effy would be like after series 4, but I think this is a good portrayal, vacillation between emptiness and need. The end is perfect, after being trapped in one spot, "Stay" finally becomes something positive. ♥

Thanks!! They're both trapped, really, and it's hard to think of exactly where they'd be after S4 but I've just gone with where they were headed, I think.

I love Katie - her head is a fascinating place :)

If a Keffy scene ever happened, I would have imagined it happening just like you wrote it!

Katie showing reluctance and resistance at first. She feels uncertain and scared and confused and it feels realistic. Effy needing someone, needing Katie made sense.

Loved this.

It's, like, their power struggle too, I think. Katie needs to be needed and Effy needs people in strange ways... Or, you know, hot ways in this case ;)

Flis flis flis - most of your stories do my head in and in this case I am a big Keffy fan.

So much pain and raw, raw emotion - Confusion, uncertainty and almost a sense of disbelief from Katie - sheer emptiness from Effy at the start.

I loved the ending - Katie panicked & uncertain for sure but also feeling needed and Effy building a bridge back to some sort of normality - a poignant piece!
