In Rome. Saw Caravaggio's Judith Beheading Holofernes today. Was completely blown away and almost cried (duh).

Am in hostel now. They are playing the South Park Movie here in the computer lab/lounge. There were people singing along. We have come to the right place.

It's because all I've been doing this week is waiting for Scooter to arrive. She finally did this morning and now I can move on with my life! lol. Anyway, Scooter is here, we are bashing around Florence, and tomorrow we will be on our way to bash around the rest of Europe, starting with Rome. So, if someone were to ask me what was the most exciting thing that happened to me today, I would not say "OMG I saw the Brancacci Chappel and Pontornmo's Annunciation and they were SO AWESOME!!!!" Today after class I went to the (only) Sinagog and Jewish Museum in Florence. It was a very interesting experience. It was the most empty place I have been so far--I think there were 4 other people there total. The people that work there are all Jewish women, and you have to go through a very intense metal detector to get in. I ended up talking for ( Read more... )
