Just so you all have a good idea of how much I love you, I just paid 1.50 euros to update my journal. I'm supposed to be able to use the computers at school, but so far it's been totally packed and I couldn't stand being away from the internet any longer ( Read more... )

Hi Ali- Good to read your stuff. How were the people in your class. Want to know more about classes. I guess I heard the rest of it on the phone, but its nice seeing your writing. Nothing new here but more humidity. Enjoy the museums and try to visit the Italian part of Florence. The people in your group will realize soon enough what a gem they have in thier midst, though they do sound flaky, so I don't think it matters. Love and kisses, Mom

I am having that exact same issue with people in my program. They drink every night and they also go out to eat every night because they're loaded. So I don't spend much time with them and it's kind of sad. Still, you may have better luck than me! Hopefully there are some people in the program who you haven't met yet or who will get tired of the drinking every night thing. Good luck!

Oh! I'm so glad to hear that someone else is in the same boat as me!!! I mean, I'm sad that you are not having a better time of it than I am, but I'm really glad to know it's not just me. Thanks hun <3 Maybe you can meet some other local-er people or something? At least they speak English.

actually, i'm going to hang out with kims (from levy) and pam (from hampshire) is here for a week, so I'm not completely devoid of company. but yeah, no bosom buddies for me either.

DAHLIA!!!!! I miss you too!!!!! I am only staying until mid-August, unfortunately. I have to go back to Hampshire in the fall (well, I'm glad I'm going back, actually but youknow... Europe versus Hampshire... it's a tough choice i think). I will certainly blow the olive trees a kiss for you :) mmmmm olives!!! <3 <3
