I'm feeling a little better than I was a few hours ago. I went to church this evening (Saturday Mass just like my old days as a Roman Catholic) and got a double whammy of bad news. Another Saturday Night
It's Labor Day weekend. Got up at 5:45 AM this morning so we could hit the road before most of the traffic. We try to drive 3 hours up the coast of Florida to visit my in-laws several times a year. Well, the sun came out this afternoon after 2 days of Fay feeder bands. The rain is good because the water table has been a little short the past couple of years. An Early Birthday Present
Mom called me this week and told me the family has pitched in to get me 2 tickets to see Wicked when it is in town next month. The offer includes overnight babysitting so Hubby and I can make an evening of it. Yeah!!

Another Day...
The internet makes things sooo much easier than the used to be. On Monday I contacted the previous colleges I have attended and arranged to have official transcripts sent to my new college. On Wednesday I submitted the requisite admissions essay via email. So now I wait. If everything clears ok and gets done in time I should be able to start a ( Read more... ) -
Taking a Big Step
I took a big step this weekend - I applied to return to college. Before I was married I finished my AA and made a dent in my Junior year but I really didn't have a direction. Nothing really excited me. Over the years I have done fairly well for myself in spite of not having a 4-year degree. With few exceptions, I have always had a steady job ( Read more... )
