The German song
Last week we had the German anthem, so today I want to present the European anthem, Beethoven's "Ode an die Freude"(Ode to Joy) based on the final movement of the 9th Symphony. It's based upon the poem "Ode an die Freude" by Friedrich Schiller, but the official anthem is only the melody without the lyrics.
