The holidays are coming. I don't really look forward to them much these days. I did announce that this year we're staying home for Thanksgiving and there was no argument there. :) Spent the last two (I think) with my family. Still feeling a bit down about the job loss thing. Tried to go to the studio this morning, but couldn't find a place to park. After about the 5th time of circling all around decided to just head home. Did spend an hour there after my therapy appointment at least. Not such a good day
It's not been the best of days. Got up feeling kind of down. Despite no energy and no motivation i did a load of laundry and went to the DMV. Came home and had a message to call my boss, so I did. *sighs* I was let go. :( So yeah. It's just a kind of shitty day. -

I'm feeling pretty decent today, which is always a plus, right? I think it's good to note when I'm actually feeling good, especially since I have the tendency to only, or mainly, write when I'm not feeling so great. But yeah, it's a good day ( Read more... ) -

Well this is decidedly irritating. I bought a cabinet at IKEA on Sunday for the studio, to store broken watches and watch parts and stuff, so I can start organizing the mess we brought back from Ohio. I have to return said cabinet, both side pieces are bent/damaged. One piece isn't do bad, could probably be easily bent back, but the other one? Nope ( Read more... ) -

Yesterday we drove to Michigan to go apple picking and wine tasting. Got a bit of a late start, but still managed to pick some apples and some grapes and visited 2 wineries and a tasting room. Most of the leaves haven't changed yet, which in a way was a pity because it was a beautiful day. Sunny, cool, and blue blue sky. I did keep myself in check ( Read more... ) -
Wow, it's been .... a very long time
Perhaps I should consider using this again. I've not been doing much journaling anywhere, including offline. I suppose I've just really isolated myself, both online and off. I should try to change that. I think I should bake muffins. And have coffee. Maybe I'll find time later today to go to the studio so I can put my storage cabinet together and ( Read more... ) -

I'm working on a grocery list. I think I'll try making pulled pork again, see how that goes. I did okay the first time, maybe I can do it better this time. We shall see. I just wish other peoplk ein the house would eat it too, because it makes quite a lot and then there are less meals to figure out, but alas, I must eat it all. What I don't eat ( Read more... ) -

I'm getting (am?) sick. Woke up this morning with a lot of drainage and the back of my throat/roof of my mouth feeling raw and sore. Took allergy pills, they didn't help. Now my nose is starting to run and I feel completely worn out and achy. Was walking around target while the kidlet was in dance class, kept feeling hot and cold at the same time. ( Read more... ) -

Working on getting the house cleaned. It's slow going but I am really trying. I'm having a bit of a rough spell, which makes it that much harder. Just getting up and getting dressed and not crawling back into bed is an accomplishment. I'm putting what little energy I have into getting things done, but it's rough.
