Halloween
I get to decorate a place for Halloween!
Due to a dearth of people to invite, I'd shelved the idea until next year, but the guy who runs the board game days said he'd let me decorate his place for a Halloween themed board game night.
So excited.

J just pointed out this app to me, so I'm giving it a try.
I'm still around, tho using the interwebs less than ever. Work is still going well, and I am constantly learning new things. And I finally made it to a local board/card game group and met a lot of great peeps. Is good.

It's been a while since I've posted (what's new, eh?), so here's an update.
I'm still working at the vet clinic, but I've transitioned into working as a nurse instead of a receptionist. I'm very happy with all that I'm learning, and I'm loving working with the pets. It also seems to be a good fit for my tendency to start working and then just ( Read more... ) -
Hike
Jason actually managed to drag me out to do some excercise today. He's decided that he wants to actually experience some of the great outdoors (weird, huh?).
He found a nice "easy" hike through Wallace Falls State Park for us to try. We even made it almost half way up one leg of the trail before I dug my heels in and refused to go any further. ( Read more... ) -

Turns out that it was a good thing that I forgot all about half.com. I rediscovered it today, and now I'm expecting 75 books in the mail. I'm now flinching and greedily rubbing my hands together.
Also, I'm listening to the new NIN album that was free to download. Not thrilled with the first 3 tracks. Tracks four and five are ok so far.

And now I've been hired on at the theatre across from the vet's office that I'm working at! Yay! I'm a little bit worried about the number of hours I'll be working, but I'm going to try it!
