i live in a four bedroom house and yet i reside in a shoebox with wall to wall "stuff" that i have yet to fully get through and clean out. the garage is filled with crap -- crap that me and mom can not seem to get rid of. clean, clean, clean...when? who knows, who really cares? we do.

i have been offered a job working as a grad assiatant on a 1.5 million dollar grant for the next three years. it is a paid affair and i want it so bad i can taste it, BUT apparently Chapman University does not allow "staff" to also be grad assistants. i am a "part-time faculty" member from the english 99 class i teach, and i am a "staff" member ( Read more... )

my aunt betty passed away this morning. my family just keeps getting smaller. everyone is getting so old and so sick. sooner or later it will just be me, my mom, my dad, and my brother. the quad pack. the remainders. such a small family...but a good one...a real good one.
