I learned a very important lesson last night. Cell phones are not wash and wear...I forgot to check my pockets before doing the laundry and ended up washing my cell phone, it is now a fish tank hehe. Was very upset, never ever put my cell phone in my pockets. the dumb thing is I did take the lighter out of the other pocket..the worst part of

Wow, insurance covered that!?!?

They showed here, that sometimes a cell phone that is dryed out using a blow dryer will work again...sometimes being the key word.

I got my cell phone wet, not in the washing machine wet, but wet enough that it didn't function and the blow dryer trick worked for me.

Yeah, Ben had dropped his phone in the water back in Pompano. He took it apart and used a hair dryer on it. It worked again after that.

How long does it take to get a new phone? I thought they shipped them Fed Ex. I don't think I would have wasted the money on a temporary phone. Money is too tight for that. We have a family plan that was supposed to be $10/month, but it turned out to be more once taxes and everything are added.

Good luck! Maybe you'll still be able to dry out the old one and retrieve all your pics and contacts? Or perhaps the chip can still be transferred with your contacts??
