It looks like LiveJournal isn't being used any more by my friends or family.  The other blogs, those of foreigners is still being used, and the posts are ridiculous as ever...but what the hey, the people are looking for info.

I finally have a Steiff teddy bear, that is just soooooo cute!  And I got a game for the computer, a Snoopy planner, coffee liquor with glasses, and a cook book...oh and not to forget the cash of 100€ I got from Tante Doris and Onkel Edi which was a total surprise.

Well, last night we had our work Christmas party.  My first "work" related party in Germany.  I know, I've been here now 3 years, you'd think I would have been to one already.  The gravestone people do not seem to have a party, either that, or I am not invited.  And last year, I never made it to the factory party because I didn't have a ride ( Read more... )

For those of you that don't know German...that means passed.  Yes, I passed my German driver's license test.  I actually got 2 questions wrong.  One, I just didn't know the right answer...how often does a car without catalytic converter have to go in for inspection?  And the other, well, it was a trick question, in my opinion.  The rule of thumb ( Read more... )

I am not sure if most of you have heard about this or not...but the train conductors with the DeutscheBahn are on strike.  Now it is not every day, but today for sure and last Friday was their first day.  They are threatening to strike tomorrow and then next Monday through Wednesday.  Their demands, from what I understand, are better pay, and a set ( Read more... )
