A fellow fluffy friend and I both swear by the Bradley Diet that is designed especially to give you the best chance possible of avoiding any pregnancy complications.

Being fat does not equal having an unhealthy pregnancy. If you are active during pregnancy and eat a healthy, balanced diet, there is little reason to think you will have any more health problems than anyone else. I am fat (morbidly obese by medical standards, a term I HATE as it is so misleading) and had a perfectly healthy pregnancy and delivery.

Losing weight before pregnancy is also not the best idea if you want to conceive soon - if you decide to go that route, doctors recommend maintaining your weight loss for a full year before trying to conceive.

Kmom also has very positive, empowering things to say about pregnancy if you are large. She has a lot of experience working with fat mums and gives a lot of advice as to how to have the healthiest possible pregnancy.

this is so helpful! Last night i explored the plus-size pregnancy website a little bit and really took to heart the information that was there about the negative aspects of dieting. I can't wait to explore the bradley diet, that is such a great resource!
thank you.
