1) I believe you can put up a header, as long as you have a layout which will support one. You can have rotating headers with some layouts.

2) No idea, I'm afraid!

So pleased you've pulled out of your slump and life has brightened up for you. *hugs* It's hard to write when you're feeling down, but hopefully inspiration will strike now.

Reading good literature is the best training for any writer, so I'm right behind your project. sj_hollis (also known as suki_blue) often posts fic recs, particularly for 'speculative fiction', if you fancy taking a look.

Erm... that posted strangely, so I don't know if I hit 'reply' to you or if I hit 'Post a new comment.' If I was silly and did the second one, I replied to you! It's here: http://flufshepherd.livejournal.com/34976.html

... how ironic that this happened as I posted a comment saying:

Aha! I've mastered LJ!

*headdesk*

Lookie! I done changed it! And it only gave me a mild headache! I'll work on the header tomorrow, when I'm more awake.

I think I can live with this friend's page now, though. I just have to get used to looking at the user names on the right instead of the left. It'll be confusing at first, but I somehow think I'll manage.

*hugs back* Thanks! I'm glad, too. Inspiration is one of the last pieces in the puzzle for me to start feeling back to 100%. That and seeing the next Doctor Who ep. *g*

Oooh! Just skimmed Suki's list (using tags! Aha! I've mastered LJ!) and have added His Dark Materials to mine. I've had those books on my bookcase for years now, and I think it's about time I crack 'em open.

Thanks! And I hope things continue being good for you, as well!

It looks great! Her instructions are beautifully clear, aren't they? Only thing is, she doesn't like mood themes and switches them off so you have to switch back on if you want one.

Yeah, you'll get used to it in no time.

I'm looking forward to Doctor Who, but even more to Torchwood. Jack/Ianto... *happy sigh*

Well done! Suki's writing her own novel so she's reading as much as possible to get a feel for what's publishable, and because reading is the most fun you can have with your clothes on. *g*

They were amazingly clear! And I looked at the template FAQ to fix everything I didn't like (font size and lack of mood theme) and it was very simply explained so that even I could understand.

I haven't been following Torchwood. I saw s1 and the JM episode, but nothing else. I know somebody who's going to get the DVD when it comes out, though, so maybe I'll borrow it then.

Hee! How good for her that she's doing that! I envy the ambition and patience she must have being able to be able to write a novel.

You did it! Lovely header, which expresses perfectly the relationship. *g* I'm a huge fan of that comm. She's an adornment to fandom because she's clear, not patronising but puts everything in simple terms.

You've missed the best of the Jianto, then. So funny - JB is gay as anything; Gareth is totally straight but secure enough to get kissy with another guy.

She's doing brilliantly, almost a third the way through her book. It's taken time, but she's powering through and, more importantly, having a lovely time.
