Today, I have no services with the orchestra. This is lovely. I slept a ton because my back has been killing me (too many hours in crappy chairs waiting to play and driving in my car, which is starting to show signs of The Sat-Out Driver's Seat, a typical affliction for a Buick Regal who has reached 138K). I have been under a ROCK for the last while, what with my personal goings-on. Read it. Sign it.

There are many, many other news stories that I've finally gotten to read, but this one was a gut-puncher.

So now, NOW I get to start processing my Dream Project - this amazing recordings collection of OPERA and BOX SETS OF HOROWITZ and RACHMANINOFF and DROOL OMG I LOVE CLASSICAL MUSIC. In the city of the Saints.

Okay, I'm still rooting for the Bears. Can't help it. Been watching all season. And getting to see the Bears game in the Washington/Dulles airport at a gate full of Chicagoans (wasn't for my flight, I just sat down, as did a bunch of folks) was something I'll always remember.

Paul Edmund-Davies made me cry today.

Brian found me in a ball on the floor in my practice room. I think I scared him a little.

Tomorrow is a new day. Now I am watching Canadian Idol and laughing at the crappy singers. I think I will be better soon.
