Yeah, but that's the way pit band's always been. All the other groups are based solely on talent, Mrs. J wanted pit to be a seniority thing. Having been on both sides of like situations, I can say it sucks way more to get beat by someone younger than to know you only got something BECAUSE you're older. Besides, if you played a foolish instrument like oboe, you wouldn't have any competition! :-P
