can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to make my journal friends only. my mom keeps bitchin that everyone reads my posts. like i freaking care, but apparently she does. like she'll ever know. anyway, tips anyone? Thanks.
You're semi screwed if you didn't start friends only from the beginning. You can either start now, and have it be "friends only" from here on out (by always clicking friends only down at the privacy section, every time you write a post), or you can make it friends only from the beginning, which entails editing EVERY post you've ever made and clicking friends only down at the privacy section. Livejournal is lovely like that and doesn't make a way for us to suddenly make everything friends only.

Log into livejournal under your account, go this site: http://www.livejournal.com/admin/console/ and insert this code: "set newpost_minsecurity friends." (If you copy and paste, take out the quotes and the period.)
That will do it! All your entries from that point on will be Friends Only. Your back entries though, need to be changed from public to either friends only or private. A pain, I know.

hey.. thank you.. i didn't know there was a code you could use.. sometimes i forget to select friends only then random people comment and it makes me mad.. so thanks.
