Almost midnight and I haven't done this yet. Everything schedule-like has gone to hell. I got up just before first light Wednesday and then found myself unable to stay awake longer even before noon, so slept the afternoon away. After sleeping more than seven hours and not getting up until nine o'clock this morning, one would think that I'd be rested, but here I am yawning and it isn't even noon yet. The fire in Pacific Palisades has spread down to the Pacific Coast Highway and obliterated miles of landmarks, and it appears to be heading toward Malibu where it's likely to do more of the same.
