Tons of people do. Everybody in my career does (though they all hate it). It's the most watched awards show.
At least lady gaga lost. I don't see the appeal to her at all, she dresses like she belongs in a modern art museum, her music is crap and she makes up words for all of her songs.
It's watched more than the Oscars? Interesting. I'm pretty sure I've never seen it, awards shows always bug me because they take so long to get through everything.
The only appeal I see to Lady Gaga is that her music is catchy. To me it's annoying as all get out, but I know several who really like her. *shrug*
