This reading thing... October 13th

This reading thing takes longer than I thought. If I can get going and no one distracts me, I can get through fifty pages in a sitting. But then someone comes along and something happens and I end up putting down the book and then I lose track of time and then it's time for class or bed. Class is ruining my educational activities!

It is. It's sixth year, Wormtail. Sixth year is like... the resting point between OWLs and NEWTs. I don't actually need anything this year. What's really important is the work I'm going to do for vampires and werewolves and centaurs and merfolk and all the other assorted things that are human or almost human and deserve not to be treated like animals. And to do that, I need to get myself an education and class is getting in the way!

And protesting persecution isn't even getting me out of class!

Yeah, but class keeps getting in the way of what I want to do!

And yeah, maybe. I need to do more research, but they have a language, so they're probably of human or near-human intelligence, I figure.

Ask one of your professors if you could try doing an independant research paper. And do it on those topics. Of course, you'd still be expected to keep up with your normal amount of coursework besides...

But that's the point. I want to work on this. And class work and class time is interfering.

And you really don't want us to explode, do you? Or prank Peter into some kind of nervous breakdown?

Then learn to do it around school work. Be like me and do school work ahead of time so that you can have time to work on other things after.

You're not supposed to announce your presence to your prey, James. Don't go around talking about pranking me (or Peter) if you want us to be actually pranked. For all you know now I can be working on some defenses for when you DO prank me.

I'm trying to do it around school work. But stuff keeps happening and getting in the way! Interesting stuff.

And announcing my intent has never really made you build up actual effective defenses anyway. You're not very good at that.

Yes. I renewed them. I was a day late renewing them the first time, but no one got too upset.

On another note, class should be your first priorities, those are your educational activities, shouldn't they?

Vampires, werewolves and the like.... cures are.... rather hard to come by, for. Some potions don't work the same on them, I believe. Though there are some experimental potions out there -- oh, where did I come across that?!

This is far more educational. So I need everything to stop distracting me from it.

Experimental potions? That sounds like something I'd be very interested in. If you find anything or remember it, I want to see.

She's busy doing stuff. She has a manifesto to re-write. She's got lists to make. I can't just... walk up to her and demand she tell me what I need to know like I do with Remus. She'd get mad and refuse to help me at all.
