This is a pretty long review, even for me, but then it's the last episode of volume 2. What can I say? I've got a lot of thoughts about this one.
SPOILERS FOR HEROES VOLUME 2, EPISODE 11 )

he wasn't going to let her stay dead - because he cares about her. I know some of you will probably say that he just wanted to see if the blood could heal anything, but why then didn't he kill more of them before he left?

I want to believe it, I really do but I can't see it in the source text. Maybe he does care for her, but if that was their intention then they really weren’t clear enough. He didn't kill any of them before he left because he was trying to escape from getting fried. Even if Elle wasn't there he was still going to leave to see if it would work. He may have come back, who knows?

I’m looking forward to the next volume, to see if his character progresses. Also interested to see how Maya will be handled.

I like Elle to, she’s definitely grown on me.

The way I saw it, Sylar's shooting Maya was quite similar to Mohinder's shooting Mr. Bennet - excepting the later wasn't shippy. Sylar only shot Maya when she started getting upset again, and if that had gone on she probably would have killed everyone as I don't think that she would have been able to control her power, having lost her trust in Sylar. By shooting her, he saved the rest of them, similar to how Mohinder shot Mr. Bennet only when Mr. Bennet was about to kill Elle and/or Bob, and possibly Mohinder as well. I don't think that Sylar would have killer Maya had the situation not started to get out of control. I think that was his only option ( ... )
