How sad. But perfectly lovely. I think this already compensates for the shortness. Oh, Al. I promised him forever. The gravity of that loss made him so painfully lonely. I hope these two get a happy ending, even if it is in the afterlife.

Also, it's irrelevant, but this is my UsUk headcanon in general: no one but each other. Maybe before (and only on Art's side), but never, ever after. Thank you for summing that up so poetically.
