So you'd think with all the other shit going on in my life the Pistons bowing out in the conference finals wouldn't affect me that much. Well you were wrong, it was another in a series of gut punches. I used to be able to look to the Pistons to always play a good game, to scrap it out and prove that hard work and dedication pays off ( Read more... )

and now Orlando looks to be a contender in the coming years. They already have a second year superstar player in Dwight Howard. Combine Dwight with the newly awaked Darko and they have possibly the second best defensive frontline in East, behind the Pistons. The also have two solid point guards in Jameer Nelson and Carlos Arroyo. At the SG and SF is where they are the weakest and they still have a strong player in Hedo Turkolu and a promising youngster in Tervor Ariza. Out of the players I mention only Arroyo and Turkolu are in more than their 3rd year in the league, and they are the least important of the 6. This team has a ridiculous amount of potential.

I'm a suns girl, and I was pretty dissapointed that the mavs beat them, but then, they like the pistons, had a lot of playing injuries as well as two men out.

after the suns I'm a pistons fan, so I'm dissapointed with you, I wanted to see them go to the finals, as I figured it more likely than the suns going.

so now I'm rooting for the mavs. I didn't think they were gonna pull it off last night, but they did! they've got a battle ahead of them for sure.

While I have to say I am a bigger fan of the Mavs, as Dirk had been my favorite non-piston basketball player since the retirement of David Robinson, the Suns make me happy ( ... )

well, lets hope that amare is still playing well by the time he comes back, I'm sure he will remember how to play. barbosa became one of my favorite players in the playoffs. barbosa, diaw and bell really took charge and showed a lot of competence and determination. I'd hate to see barbosa traded off. and I wonder how well he would do somewhere else, considering he got his confidence up and started to grow here.

being on the west coast, I didn't get a chance to see a lot of east coast games or teams, and I don't know them well. I don't even know the pistons well. I just fell in love with them last season, watching them play. they were so much fun and had so much energy.

Everything you just said made absolutely no sense to me. Maybe I should start watching some of these sport dealies.

you would have to watch basketball 28 hours a day 9 days a week for the next 3 years to know as much as Aruna does about the fine sport of "BBall"
