finally learned to make tamales tonight. that is what Bill and I do on vacation.
we made:
mushroom poblano onion
soy chorizo sweet potato
blackbean roasted corn poblano
pineapple sweet potato

I would make all of these again, making minor adjustments. I will also try out others like roasted plantain.

oh god I worked until 3 in the morning. FTW!

I haven't experienced a recipe fail recently, but that is what my improvised lentil loaf delivered. it tastes good and is salvageable, but it is completely crumbly and a little dry and not loaf like at all ( Read more... )

one bottle blood orange soda
one bottle cranberry soda
2 granny smith apples
2 pink lady apples
2 pears
2 oranges
1 cup spiced cranberry simple syrup:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
4 allspice berries
2 star anise
2 cinnamon sticks
4 cloves
6oz cranberries
