I got tagged back in by a post from @raidingparty so I scrambled around trying to remember my password and got all interested.

I am fed up with drama on Facebook, tired of the Russian Trump trolls on Twitter trying to sell mugs for Liberal Tears, and Reddit is slammed with Mens Rights Activists and denizens from r/The_Donald, so I don't feel really

I also do not look forward to the next four years of Trump being President-it makes me sick just thinking about it-peace

I'm trying to be neutral on Trump and just see what happens, but yeah, it could get bad.

I'm not necessarily worried about him, as he's just a blowhard who likes to make a spectacle because he craves attention. I'm worried about the people who advise him. He truly does not seem to have any idea how to be a President, or a public servant in general, and so his ignorance will be filled by some despicable and manipulative people.

That's the trouble.

It feels like all the social progress that's been made since the 60s is going to be rolled back. I dislike Trump immensely, but what scares me are the people he's empowered, both in the government and in everyday life. It's also scary to realize that yes, he does enjoy support from a LOT of people. I feel like I was living in a protected bubble with my friends, family and urban life. When I visited areas far away from the so-called liberal hotbeds, it was Trump signs all over the place. Rural folks especially felt unrepresented and latched onto him as the one who would turn this country back into what they thought their parents had. Seriously, this is my country? These people live in the same reality as I do? I look at people with a certain suspicion now, wondering if they embrace ideals that I detest. He's not even sworn in, and there are moves to repeal the right to abortion, gender/transgender rights, and on and on. It's going to be four years of trying to keep what we achieved in the previous 50 years, and hoping that it doesn't
