i dont know much, but i do know that the FCC said that Kenny G had to change the name of his show. this show that i only heard part of was him reading listener suggestions, and i guess some of the words were not okay? so the FCC suspended him until February something. did that make sense to you?
I don't own a television anymore (even though I write music for film), and pretty soon maybe all the radio I'll listen to will be through iTunes. Sounds just wonderful to me!
At least Kenny G (the sax player) hasn't sued Kenny for the name. Or complained to the FCC.
Yeah, the FCC/Kenny G stuff is crazy. If you look at the new program schedule, you'll see http://www.wfmu.org/schedule#KG - The Kenny G Show. That seems to be the title, at least for now.
The worst thing about the situation is how Ken (who I do really like) put a kind of gag-order in place on the message board regarding this issue. Maybe it wasn't his decision, but I would've liked *some* explanation.
Yeah, I saw that, I wondered if it was just temporary until they decided on a new name.
Ken was pretty vague, you saw? (on the message board) that he deleted a response soon after he replied to a question concerning the show, and where it stood.
