I would so love to volunteer at FMU someday. Even to just finally see the awesome place that I listen to everday and love, and meet some of the neat people that work there.

The only problem is that I don't have a car and im in Edison. Im horrible with distance and directions and stuff, like how far is Jersey City from Edison?

I think you caould take the NJ Transit from Edison to Newark Penn and then jump the PATH train to Grove Street. It might take a while.

oh hello! i was there for the Yo La Tengo too... running back and forth from phone room down to the studio with the pledges. were you a phone slave?

i have only started to volunteer this year but it's great. i went in a few days this week and am going in tomorrow morning and hopefully to the finale on Sunday, which i imagine will just be all sorts of crazy. i'm also helping out a bit with the filming of the documentary. John Allen's show was great fun to do phones for, or as fun as it could be at 9am.

anyway, can't remember any particular story that sticks out. the whole being in the 'fmu station is an entertaining enough experience in itself i suppose...
