Oh, hi!
So here I am in Japan. It's been summer now for almost 4 months.. It started all humid and revolting, then it got more hot and less humid, then it got hot and humid. Just in the last week or so, 14 odd people have died due to heat issues and people are being encouraged NOT to use their air-con because electricity is becoming a bit scarce ( Read more... ) -
Wow!
This weekend was rather grand. Monday was a day off so some of the other native teachers and myself headed up to FujiQ Highlands, an amusement park of rather gigantic proportions, home to some of the scariest roller coasters around.

I managed to get the weeks classes materials organised when I got home from my solitary class today. I usually have the day off today but they've wiggled it around at the school so I get a saturday off. A shame we have a big whomping combined meeting (CM) where I have to demo 3 of the new Summer School classes even though they don't start 'til June ( Read more... ) -

Finding it very hard not to be lazy right now. Autumn is on its way back home and this is my time for introspection, to get out in the street and rake up leaves for composting like my mother used to do. Sitting, looking out the window watching over time the leaves lose their greens and take on the beautiful golden yellows and deepening reds ( Read more... )
