no one cares that i got stuck on a narrow ledge yesterday, overlooking twenty feet of near-vertical granite.

NO ONE.

i was reasonably sure that my tenure as a livejournal figure of note ended a year or so ago, but now i'm convinced.

hey, i cared too. i saw the reference to climbing in hallsi's entry, then i got to yours. i was also glad to see that neither of you died. it made me remember the awesome time i had rock climbing with you in boston last year.

if you ever make it back up around these parts, we've seriously *got* to go to chapel ledges. it's hard to imagine it not having been build for climbing. it's like having a private gym... outdoors.

I think had it been "I was stuck on a cliff dangling with my life in the balance", there would have been a barrage. But because it was "my beloved girlfriend and I were stuck danging on the side of a cliff with our lives in the balance" the denizens of Livejournal had no idea how to react.

You see, having a girlfriend that you really like apparently drops LJ stock like a boulder in a lake. What you need to do my friend, is get really sad and post pictures of yourself gazing upward at the sky. This will subconciously say to the female LJ populace that you need contact, and the comments will increase in earnest. If this works for you, I will folow suit in my own journal.

Well, hell, I'd get stuck on a 20 foot ledge if I knew shirtless Australian men would come to my rescue, too.

Mind if I add you? I've been semi-lurking anyway because I enjoyed the way you described eating shrimp. That doesn't sound weird, does it?

i didn't know they'd arrive. for all i knew, i'd still be stuck there come nightfall.

you can add me, but i'll add you back... especially since i share your sentiments regarding diet coke.

You mean packs of Australian men don't always come to your rescue in a jam? Nevermind then.

Diet Coke: elixir of the gods.
