[ Good morning Luceti if you’re in town today, and probably in the surrounding areas as well, you’ll notice some large lumbering pure white figures walking about some might even be flying. No, no, they aren’t harmful in the least, although the creatures they take after might argue otherwise, and they are not yetis or other such things that come out ( Read more... )

I suppose that Inanna, one of the Devas, could count... [Considering Iria's water magic also formed things like Icicle and Ice Tornado.] But I wouldn't say we have any set affiliations. As for ice sculpture competitions... I read once that Tenos, a very snow country back home, has them -- or had them before the war started, but I don't know about Luceti.

Inanna? Interesting we have things called Devas back in my own world. Superhuman beings that live longer than the average human. And another belief is that they're deities that work in the favor of good people.

But I think a competition might nice for here. [ It'll at least help people take their mind off things, right? ]

In my world, they were gods who lived on Devaloka before it fell. The Sensus were working for the good of both Devaloka and Naraka, but... the other faction, the Ratio, didn't want anything to do with Naraka.

Ah, I think so too. We could have teams or something, since I think make a sculpture by yourself would be a little hard.

Devaloka. I assume that's some other worldly plane then? Beyond the spectrum of humans and such things, correct? [ He processes trying to make connections to other things on Earth. ] Ratio sound something like Asuras in my world. They're more like demons than the Devas and work against Devas usually. But, ah, what exactly is Naraka?

[ A pause. ] Yes it certainly would be. Most well made sculptures in my world take days to build and multiple people to help build them. Team work might prove very beneficial for people here, n-not that we need it. The village itself is pretty tight knit as it were. But having something light and fun to bring that out is never bad.

Something like that. It's more like, uh... Heaven. Devaloka were where the gods lived. Naraka's what my world's called - a friend of mine, Aoba, told me that in his world, Naraka is a place of being... Like, um... Where you enter and leave based on your karma. [Though the word Asuras gives him pause. That was plural ,so a singular would be... Asura? That was his past life's name.] Um, could you tell me more about Asura-- uh, the Asuras? What they're like in your world.

[Pausing, too, to think.] ...Each community house or regular house could be a different team... They'd have to work together, and then people who didn't know each other despite living in the same building could become friends. [This is actually sounding like a good idea.]

Ah yes of course! How could I forget! Naraka is typically known as the underworld in my world. Um, hell, to be more specific. Where those who have done wrong are sent after death. As for the Asura. They are...deities that seek power and are often considered sinful or materialistic.

[ This is sounding like a very good idea, actually. ] Yes exactly! It actually sounds quite feasible when you separate people via buildings.

[Who've done wrong... Oh, that's not so nice. And that description of the Asura... Not too far off the mark, he guesses.] Oh, I see. So they're a lot like the gods that were cast down from Devaloka for being greedy... They were turned into humans.

[If this actually happens--] Exactly! But how would they choose leaders for the team..? It'd be easy amongst regular houses, since people who live together would know what's best, but the community buildings have a lot of different people... I guess we'd have to choose them ourselves.

Hm yes. That sounds about right. Though being turned into humans was never really apparent for the Asura. There are several that take on human-like appearances to tempt man. But...it's amazing the apparent overall similarities on can make between worlds. I'll never figure out what causes one world's mechanics or cultures to be closer than anothers...but! Just another mystery yet to be solved. [ Hm as for the snow sculptures... ]

I wouldn't say a leader would need to be appointed but, hm, perhaps based on skills or-ah someone who is comfortable at building in general, maybe? [ Otherwise it doesn't have to be a leader to leader them Helios wouldn't want to cause any dissension from this little game after all. ]

Or maybe whoever comes up with the idea with the sculpture so then people know how to crate their vision? [Or whatever it is that artists have...]

That could work too actually! And as for the prizes for when people win...that might be a bit more tricky. [ What do you give people when they can get anything they want, whenever they want? ]

[Hmmm. Prizes are a little trickier... And they'd have to get enough for large groups of people... Or be able to make enough for large groups...] You can really get anything you want here, huh... Why not just a trip to the hot springs? It'll feel really nice in the winter, and even though we can go there whenever I don't hear a whole lot about it..?

That! That is an excellent idea! I don't know why I never thought about it. A trip to the hot springs would be nice for this time of month, hm? [ Helios is quite taken with this idea, actually. ]

And a nice relaxing visit after all the hard work put into making those sculptures is fitting.

Yeah, exactly! Do you think there'd be a lot of people interested in this kind of competition? And I wonder when the best time would be to do it... [Luca is also quite taken with this idea.]

I'm not sure. I think an announcement over the journals could work! Just to see who would be interested. And then going from there we could make teams...

[ Hm. Best time. ] Perhaps after Christmas? Or maybe even before...depending on the weather.

That sounds good. [To both things. Hmm.] Is Christmas a big celebration? If so, then it'd probably be better to do it in January... People might be busy otherwise.

Then in January might be best. But yes actually! In some worlds it is at least. Quite the big celebration. The most wonderful time of the year.

[ He'll start humming that song almost on cue. ]
