Time Machine

Did a little sorting on the boxes of family keepsakes and such that have been clogging my garage for the past three or so years. Gathered all the 8mm and Super8 film, made a special trip to a shop in San Francisco that does 720p24 digitizing (and not that much more expensive than a shitty Walgreens interlaced DVD thing). Mmmm, I'm left wondering what became of the old 8mm home movies we had - not that there were many, but I do recall seeing a few reels around, Back In The Day. I ought to try scanning the family photos, too, so they can be kept either online, or at least digitally.

What a wonderful device! And only a few hundred lb, too. =:D Sometimes, I'm in awe of how rapidly technology advances, even if humanity often seems less inclined to change with it.
