Apropros the Coming Out (I think that deserves capitalisation), good on you. The second-hardest part of the process is over (the hardest is trying to decide if you should or not). At least you weren't disowned.

Apropos Texas...well, that just sucks. Trust the higher-ups to screw things up. *offers chakitty hugs*

Congrats on coming out :-) I think things should turn out pretty OK for you. As a rule, I think you would have found out by now if it were to be a disaster :]
