Going downhill
Bare etter mitt siste innlegg, mottatt jeg et brev med veldig dårlig nyheter. Etter over åtte år i huset vårt må vi finne et nytt hus og flytte ut, fordi eieren flytter tilbake å bo. Vi har nå brukt fire uker av de ni ukene vi ble gitt, og vi har ikke funnet en nytt hus ennå. Det finnes få tilgjengelig hus som vi har råd til og mye konkurranse ( Read more... ) -

I går ettermiddag fikk jeg min først vaksinedose (Pfizer). Jeg har ikke merket noen dårlige effekter over en dag senere, men armen min gjør virkelig vondt ( Read more... ) -

Wow, det har vært fem år siden jeg legget her sist. Jeg har vurdert å støve av denne kontoen for en stund som en del av et Toastmasters Pathways prosjekt for å administere en blogg.

Parents moving, and my partner in the paper
To make a long story short, my parents are moving from Northland, where they've been living for 22 years, to almost the other end of the island, to Palmerston North. Dad suffered one head injury too many, and so his boss decided that he was too much of a liability, and gave my parents four months to find somewhere else to live. As well, he's ( Read more... ) -
Good lord, this thing still exists!
Two and a half years since I last posted anything here. Dang... Well, I guess I've been feeling the urge to post life updates and so forth lately, so after a couple of login attempts, it seems I'm back!

Eurovision time again...
Yep, it's that time of year again. I got up at 6:30am again to watch the first semi-final this morning. I rather like the show being hosted by just one person (the first time since 1995); it means there's none of the somewhat contrived banter that usually goes on between two or three hosts ( Read more... ) -
Aaargh, toothache.
My remaining front tooth has decided that it's going to act up -- this morning it was fine, but some twelve hours later even the slightest touch is agonising (more so than the constant pain). I can't bite at all, because the tooth beneath it pushes against it, so can't eat. I have an appointment with a dentist on Thursday afternoon for an ( Read more... )
