Eurovision time again...

Yep, it's that time of year again.  I got up at 6:30am again to watch the first semi-final this morning.  I rather like the show being hosted by just one person (the first time since 1995); it means there's none of the somewhat contrived banter that usually goes on between two or three hosts

Oh gawd, Eurovision, it's more like 'Political vote-o-vision with places not voting for others as they don't like each other, like Germany and Poland won't vote for each other and we all know why.

On the contrary; they have given points to each other (Germany gave Poland 7 points in 1994, for example). And you're right; the voting is terribly political, but that's part of the reason I enjoy it.
