Chonny S. painted, sculpted, and drew.

I went to high school with Chonny S.  His real name was Johnny, but he had a Norwegian grandmother who called him Chonny, and it stuck.  Chonny S. was different.  He was an amazing artist.  His notebooks, bookbag, everything he owned in fact were covered in his wild, other-wordly creations.  Chonny S. was also ( Read more... )

I've mixed feelings on psychiatric patients going without meds. And while I have been told by such patients meds dull their senses, inhibit their ability to 'fly', whether artistically or other ways, most have told me this hand-cuffed or restrained to a hospital bed after they had committed murder usually of a family member(s).

I know a huge part of the population of homeless are mentally ill and not taking meds, just existing.

But I hope your Chonny WAS different. I really do.
