Heath, I'd be interested in reading this but am only up to 2x02. Will I be spoiled?

There are brief mentions of things that happened past 2x02, so I'm going to say yes. It's great that you're watching VM, though. Yay!

There's not much done to it...just a few stars and light effects. Here you go:

Awesome, Heath!

Especially Jensen playing Logan in the television movie!

Ha!

I loved the Weevil, Logan interaction, too. I can't wait to see how they play this out on the show!

Thank you!

Of course, I have to give a shout-out to all the SN freaks who might stumble across this. ;) Mmm...Jensen.

Yes, me either. I like their interactions very much thus far.

I really enjoyed this.
I adored the paragraph where Logan is thinking about Veronica's possible reaction to the scars on his back. Beautiful.
This is so true:
Everything about him is laced with a little tragedy
and it's why his character is so completely endearing when, by rights, his obnoxiousness should be repellent.
And this is lovely too:
And he thinks, maybe, that the sound of her breathing could sustain him.
Because I am such a soppy romantic.
And the hotness was absorbingly hot.

Wonderful stuff, thank you :D

Thank you so much! This is the first real fic of length I've written for Veronica Mars. The characters are hard to pin down and I just hope I didn't do them too much a disservice. I was skeptical about writing anything too schmoopy given the circumstances, but I had to throw in a line or two of sappy romance. I can't help myself sometimes! Thanks again.

Finally got to read this (first non OC fanfic I've ever read, gasp!) . I've commented here because you talk about not being able to pin the characters down. Well, I could picture them perfectly through your writing, particularly Logan and Veronica. His obnoxious comments and her quick quips were very in character (from what i've taken on board, I've only watched each episode once). I loved this and I am so glad Logan turned her down, because somewhere deep inside him is a boy who wants to do the right thing for not only himself, but for someone he cares about. *sniff*
Ack! No VM icons....

Thanks, mel. I feel since the characters are kept fairly consistent that it's a little harder to make sure they are written true to form. I'm so glad you're into VM now and I would be happy to make you some icons.

Thanks again!

“I’ll even let you ride up front in the big boy seat.”

Ha! Perfection.

“Is your hair lighter?”
It’s not what he wanted to say, he realizes, just as the words hit the air. Veronica doesn’t seem to care.
“As in weight or colour?”
“Colour,” he croaks, as her lips trail a path down his neck, sucking at the tender spots where his pulse beats erratically below the skin.
“Highlights.”

I utterly adored this passage. So realistically awkward, and so like him to skirt the issue.

Overall, I found it totally hot, and really realistic, right up to them not being able to fully consummate while she's still involved with Duncan. I also loved the premise of Logan and Weevil working together - they are my favorite superhero duo. Great job.

Thank you so much. There's still so much unresolved tension between these two.

that's my favorite too! i mean, not my favorite, because it's kind of all my favorite, but that little exchange really nails down and sums up the tragically hilarious dysfunctionality of logan and veronica. and i think you've done a really great job here capturing how logan always secretly wants to be the good guy but never quite enough to not be secret about it. oh, logan. good story.
