Is it just my perception, or do these devices start shocking people more at a certain time of the month? I thought it was behaving oddly at around the same time (possibly a little later) in May, but this is the second time in as many months that I've noticed this. Curiouser and curiouser.

that time of the month?, curiouser and curiouser

So you've noticed it, too, huh? It's a little odd, to say the least.

Indeed. I wonder what could be the reason? Surely there's some logical explanation.

... Perhaps it has to do with the way these things are programmed.

From what I can tell, the communicators will shock people if they don't use it for over two weeks - whether because they couldn't find it or simply because they didn't want to, it doesn't matter.

I can't see why this would happen more often specifically around this time, though. It does sound like a stretch, to blame it on forgetfulness only.

Exactly. I don't know anything about computers, but perhaps there's some sort of glitch that occasionally prevents the devices from shocking the user after two weeks but then it gets some sort of reset around this time of the month and rights itself.

It's my understanding that they'll shock the owner after two weeks of disuse.

Yes, but they seem to do so to more people right around now.

If you don't use them for a while, they do.

I think it must be that someone finds it amusing.

It seems like the sort of lowbrow humor prevalent in this place.

I'm sure that eventually they'll get tired of slapstick and graduate up to sarcasm.

[ You can have pettings if you are nearby ]

Twice? Hopefully not in a row.

[ Petting is go, then! Even skritches that little spot behind your ears~ ♥ Of course, at this point one might assume that this is action and not on the network. ]
