Camped this weekend at Turkey point, a gay campground south of hamilton, near lake erie. Was very different from my recollections of it, but I suppose circumstances have changed: the last time i went i was 19 or 20 years old, single, and unprepared for the experience ( Read more... )

It was a great time and the company was exceptional! :)

I am sure you will mange this transition well. However, I understand how upcoming big life changes affect the feeling even of everyday events.

Um.... we go to Turkey Point all the time (in fact, we're going for the July long weekend) and it's not a "gay campground". :) It's just a provincial park that doesn't cater to any specific genre of people.

I LOVE Turkey Point. We love the beach nearby and we LOVE the golf course as well.

There's another campground about 10 mins from the provincial park, also called turkey point (or the point). They have day glo, multicoloured, light up palm trees.
