[after what probably amounted to a week of sulking in Moro's cave, San is back spying on the village again. She's managed to get up into a snow-covered tree - hoping the furs she wears will offer some kind of cover in addition to their warmth - with a decent view of the central square. ...Really, she's not that well hidden. Feel free to notice her

[when she notices Moro below, she'll drop to some lower branches. The cold is making her injuries ache]

[ She really should be staying indoors; at this rate she's going to get ill. But Polka has a mission! And ...she's walking purposefully through the plaza, on her way towards the forest. At least ... she's fairly sure she's heading in the direction of the forest. There are trees (in which a girl is hiding, but Polka doesn't see her yet), so that's promising, right? ]

[San has her eye on you, human]

[ Trot trot trot, over the river and through the woo-- wait. Polka nears San's hiding place, stopping to look around. ]

Hmm? Is someone there?

[ If San is reeeeeeally quiet, Polka won't even THINK to look upwards. Silly girl. ]

[can be as silent as the trees - which, to a human, are pretty darn silent - and just keeps staring Polka down]

[Guilt-na has pretty good instincts for this sort of thing, and quickly notices San. She stares up at her for a while.]

I was just wondering what you're doing.

Observing the humans.

[Here's an odd sight for you, San. A small, hopping yellow light is bounding its way towards the forest. A raccoon is trotting along behind it, a scroll clamped tightly in its mouth.]

[a forest spirit leading a raccoon? If they need to cross San's branch, she will move out of the way. Forest spirits are playful but not cruel]

[Not exactly a spirit, but a very tiny sprite. She seems much too focused on getting to where she wanted to go, so she doesn't seem to notice San, yet. It's only when the raccoon stops, stares at the girl, and chatters softly does Miyabi stop and look back.]

Hm? Someone's he--Oh! Oh, I'm sorry!! [She bounces her way back over, careful not to fall.] I didn't notice you. You were with Mother Moro that one time. Forgive me, but I don't think I ever got your name. I'm Miyabi.

[She hesitates, glancing away a little before looking back up at the girl.] How is Mother Moro doing? Is she all right?

[blink. Someone else who calls Moro 'mother'?]

I am San. ...My mother is fine.

[and she nods to the raccoon, too]

[Terra's bundled up properly, just taking a walk and taking a sip from her cup of hot cocoa. She pauses near the treeline, as though tempted to go for a forest stroll.]

[San shifts and the movement sends a whoosh of snow down in Terra's direction]

[Terra jumps at that, moving away from the descending snow just in time to miss the majority of it. Some sprays against her sleeve, though. She peers upward.]

[staring back down at her with cold eyes]
