It's interesting that even though you're someone who is very interested in reading women authors there are only a couple on the list. Maybe you should write the next great American novel (you have my blessing as long as you don't go insane).

hmmm....i didn't even notice the lack of female authors on my list, i just put down books i wanted to read. maybe i should remedy that? any ideas?

I don't think you should remedy it, men are definitely better writers. I've read 'Herland' a couple times, not exactly great but a nice read. Did you read 'Their Eyes Were Watching God' by Zora Neale Hurston? I also read a Virginia Wolff book in AP English whose title escapes me, something about a lighthouse.

an interesting aside, AP in high school is a good thing, AP in college isn't so great (acedemic you know what).
