Part 1 -
DemonPart 2 -
Monster =^-^=
It took a few days for Changmin to wake up again. Junsu would’ve estimated more than that due to the amount of blood the fox demon had lost, in addition to the severity of the gash in his side, along with the fact that he wasn’t that great with first-aid. He should have realized that for someone who had grown from a mere infant to a full adult in the span of a few years, healing a foot-long rip in your flesh and replenishing multiple quarts of blood that quickly with little help wasn’t very strange at all.
Junsu was in the kitchen on the third day after the attack, cooking up anything and everything with the vague notion that the aroma of roasting meat and frying vegetables might be able to wake Changmin up out of his comatose state. He was proven completely right when he suddenly heard slight movement from Changmin’s direction and soon afterwards, a voice creaky from disuse asked sleepily, “...Do I smell stir fry?”
Junsu almost dropped a plate on his foot in shock before a grin split his face nearly in half. Only barely remembering to set down the plate in a safe location, he rushed to Changmin’s side, looking down at the fox demon’s sleepy half-smile with a sudden rush of so many emotions he didn’t even know what he was feeling. There was so much relief, of course, that Changmin had survived the ordeal, that he was okay. There was a bit of anger-anger at Changmin for causing him so much worry, and also anger at himself for letting Changmin get hurt. And there was also this heart-wrenching tug in his chest, a feeling he couldn’t place, but was slowly gaining strength and overpowering everything else as he watched Changmin wake up from his stupor.
When Changmin started struggling to sit up, dislodging blankets and exposing a large part of his naked, muscled torso, that tug suddenly became a yank, pulling Junsu’s heart out if its rightful place in his chest and straight down into his groin.
This feeling...it couldn’t be...
Well, of course he loved Changmin. He’d adopted him and raised him and he had become his only family. It would be crazier if he didn’t love him.
But what kind of love was it, exactly? Had platonic, familial love become something...more?
He only became aware of the awkward silence stretching between the two of them when he finally felt Changmin’s almond-shaped eyes staring piercingly into his; he had probably been staring for quite a while.
Junsu shook himself out of his introspection. “Uh...sorry. Um...are you okay?”
Changmin’s lips quirked into a ironic grin. “Well, apart from the fact that I got mauled by a crazy bear-thing and that I’ve been passed out for...how has it been?”
“Three days.”
“Three days, yeah. Apart from that, I’m perfectly fine. But forget about me and my near-death experience for a second-what were you thinking so hard about just now that you spaced out? That’s not like you.”
Junsu fought his blush and only succeeded partially. He could feel the tips of his ears burning. If he had been a fox demon, this would not have posed a problem, what with all the red fur in the way, but as a human it was altogether obvious to someone as observant as Changmin.
Hoping to avoid telling Changmin what he had actually been thinking, Junsu decided to ask some other questions he had been stewing over for the past few days. “Actually, I was wondering...What happened back there in the forest? How did you know what that...thing...was? And why...why did you risk yourself save me?”
Changmin closed his eyes, sighing as he leaned back, resting his head against the wall. “I wasn’t really sure at the time, to be honest. Everything was a blur, a rush of adrenaline, complete instinct. But now that I think about it, I guess I’ve always known about the world of magic, even though I don’t remember my parents or living with anyone but you.”
He paused and gave Junsu a warm smile. Junsu was taken completely aback; this was an expression rarely seen on Changmin’s face, and suddenly his heart was hammering erratically and so loud and he could hear his blood rushing through his ears and his stomach was doing somersaults and oh Gods when did Changmin become so damn handsome?!
Changmin continued with his explanation, seeming not to notice his effect on Junsu’s internal organs. “Not that I really mind, though I kind of regret not knowing who gave birth to me. Even without any of these memories though, I can sort of...feel the magical world around me. Maybe it’s something demons are just born with, I’m not sure, perhaps as some sort of survival instinct. I can feel magic and magical creatures, and even place a name to them.
“For instance,” he pointed a long finger in the direction of the fireplace, where a fire was burning merrily. “Did you know that there’s been a fire sprite living in the fireplace? It’s been there for as long as I can remember, helping to keep the fire going. It likes you, you know. It’s also pretty happy now because it’s winter, but once spring and summer come around it’ll be sad and will have to hibernate because there will be no fire to live in.
“It was also so scared a few days ago that it couldn’t keep the fire going anymore. It felt the demon bear close by, just like I did. I’m guessing the sprite knew what it was though, unlike me, so it had even more right to be frightened. But then, I’m just guessing, since I don’t really know what it’s thinking.”
Junsu was wide-eyed, looking back and forth between Changmin and the innocently crackling fire, not sure which warranted his attention the most at the moment.
“I had never really thought about this ability though. It was just something I did without conscious effort. I didn’t tell you about it because...well, I guess it was because the subject just never came up.”
Junsu’s mind was still struggling to keep up with the whole idea. To have so much knowledge without gaining it the way humans did, through hard-earned experience, seemed so...strange. Magic was really a bizarre thing.
Junsu shook his head in wonderment. “So you just...knew that that thing was a witch’s familiar. That’s crazy.”
Changmin shrugged. “Yep. I knew what it was, and its cruel intentions radiated off it so intensely I’m surprised you couldn’t read it, even as a human.” He shuddered as he recalled what he had felt. “The monster didn’t know anything besides destruction. It had been killing for so long, decades maybe, that I don’t think it could know anything besides death. I got the feeling that perhaps...perhaps it killed because that was the one thing it wanted for itself, but couldn’t have.”
Changmin looked so incredibly sad as he recounted this. Junsu marveled at his ability to empathize with something had that nearly killed him mere days before. He also wanted to do nothing more than to hold Changmin in his arms and tell him everything was going to be fine, that he would protect him from anything that would even try to touch him, but he resisted with some effort. He wasn’t sure if he accepted his own newfound feelings yet, and was even less sure if Changmin would accept them as well.
“Why do you look so depressed? If what you said is correct, we gave it what it wanted by killing it.”
“That’s true.” Changmin conceded. “But you know, that could’ve been me. Demons have been known to sign contracts with witches to improve their own lives. There are white witches of course, who help others and treat their familiars with respect, but then there are the wicked witches whose only aim is to create chaos and cause death.
“That day you found me and saved me in the snow...if you had been a witch, I might very well have signed a contract with you to save my life. And if you had been a wicked witch...I may as well have ended up like that poor beast you killed.
“And thank you for that, by the way. You saved my life, again, and I’ll never forget that.” Changmin smiled his little half-smile at Junsu again, and Junsu’s heart either skipped a few beats or stopped altogether-he wasn’t sure, since he could barely think anymore. Why did Changmin’s smile have such a strong effect on him? And why was he just noticing?
“But all that aside, what were you really thinking just now? You weren’t thinking about my mysterious magical abilities and don’t even try to deny it. You’re a horrendous liar.”
Junsu gulped, the red in his ears slowly spreading outwards. From the heat, he could’ve sworn that his cheeks were beet red, and Changmin definitely noticed. “Awww, come on, Junsu. What were you thinking?” Changmin poked at Junsu’s midsection, speaking in a sing-song voice. “Were you thinking something like ‘I can’t live without you, Changmin! Stay with me forever!’”
Junsu blushed harder, which he hadn’t realized was possible. Changmin had hit awfully close to home without realizing it.
Changmin cackled when he saw this reaction. “You were, weren’t you! Admit it, you softie!”
Junsu decided that since Changmin had already seen right through one of his diversions, he might as well tell the truth. Well, mostly. “Well, of course I can’t live without you! You’re family, I would miss you too much. You don’t even realize how much I was worried about you when I saw what the bear had done, I...I think I broke. You didn’t see how I...killed it. I don’t know if I believe it myself, and I was the one who did the killing.” He shuddered, remembering the last look in the beast’s eyes and all that blood.
Changmin’s face softened, and when he spoke again his teasing tone was gone. “I’m sorry about that but I...I couldn’t just let that thing kill you. I know that I couldn’t live without you, and if that meant sacrificing myself to save you...I would do it again, with no regrets.”
Junsu’s eyes were tearing up against his will, and he forced himself to keep the waterworks at bay. He refused to cry over something like this, refused to let Changmin see his weakness...
Changmin, of course, had seen. But instead of laughing at him for it, or shunning him for it, which Junsu had half-believed he might, he got off his pallet and hugged Junsu tightly, whispering into his ear, “It’s fine, Junsu. I’m not dead, I’m recovering, everything’s okay.”
Except suddenly everything was very not okay, because both of them had seemed to have forgotten that Changmin had been completely and utterly naked under his covers. Junsu hadn’t felt the need to dress him after he had thrown out his ripped, blood-soaked clothing, given all the blankets he had piled on top of him to keep the cold out. Now he was completely aware of Changmin’s skin, all smooth and tan and flawless, except for the healing scar across the side of his torso, shining pink in the firelight.
Junsu froze, mind too overloaded with too many sensations to react in any way. Oh Gods he’s naked and touching me and what is happening to me my chest hurts my heart is beating so fast and oh shit am I getting hard!?
Changmin sensed his panic and pulled back, confused, then belatedly realized his state of dress. Or rather, undress.
Junsu hastily pulled back as well, trying to subtly cover his erection with one hand as it began to show through his pants. He should’ve known it would be a useless endeavor.
Changmin raised an eyebrow as he noticed where Junsu’s hand was going and what was happening there. Junsu cringed, imagining Changmin’s reaction. Would he be confused? Angry, horrified, disgusted?
He wasn’t expecting Changmin to lean forward again and place a hand on each of Junsu’s thighs, and he was nowhere near prepared when the other man suddenly closed the distance between them and placed a short, firm kiss on his slightly parted lips.
Junsu’s mind was sent reeling by the suddenness of everything, that this was happening, actually what exactly was happening? Was he dreaming or hallucinating?
Changmin’s lips had felt so warm and real though, slightly chapped from the winter’s dryness. He couldn’t have imagined that, could he?
Changmin leaned back just a little, face still dangerously close to Junsu’s, and took in Junsu’s reaction, that smile of his tugging at the corner of his mouth. “Damn, I’ve wanted to do that for months now. That felt good.”
Months? When had Changmin decided he had wanted to kiss Junsu? And for him, months meant...years, really...
Junsu decided that he couldn’t be surprised by much now. Changmin was kissing him, he was enjoying it, they were both sitting safe by the fire mere days after being attacked by a crazed creature of dark magic. Stranger things had to have happened, he supposed.
“Yes...yes it did feel good.” It seemed more final somehow, admitting this out loud. He hadn’t even been considering doing anything remotely sexual with a man before-hell, he had only been with women a few times in his rogue teenage years-but this...whatever he had with Changmin, it felt so right.
Not just that-it felt amazing.
Changmin’s hands were hot against his legs, everything was too hot, his insides felt like they were burning up and he was fairly certain these things had nothing to do with the fire. He needed to cool down, think about something else, think about...
Then Changmin’s tongue was in his mouth and there was nothing else but the heat and the burn and it all felt so good. He was responding without thinking, answering in kind with tongue and teeth. His fingers reached up into Changmin’s unkept hair and weaved their way through its coarse waves, imagining how soft it must feel when it hadn’t been slept on for three days.
Changmin was whimpering into his mouth, asking for more but not initiating anything, begging with every inch of his body. Junsu was about to respond when his roaming hands brushed over Changmin’s super sensitive ears, the red fur feeling like silk on his palms.
Changmin broke away from him, groaning in want and need. “Junsu, that...I...”
With one finger, Junsu traced the edge of the right ear, feeling the way it quivered under his touch and watching Changmin’s eyes go wide with the sensation before he fell over backwards, unable to remain sitting upright, giving Junsu a perfect view of his quickly growing erection. Junsu was reaching his hand out towards it before he realized what he was doing. Some primal instinct in him was making its way out of his subconscious and into his body. Wrapping his fingers around Changmin’s length, he began to stroke, slowly at first, then faster as Changmin begged for more, hips jerking and tail twitching erratically underneath them. It didn’t take long for Changmin to shudder one last time and arch his back as he came, white covering his torso and Junsu’s hands in the process.
Junsu watched as Changmin recovered, mesmerized by the rapid rise and fall of his chest, glistening wetly in the firelight. It was an arousing sight; if Junsu had not already been fully turned on by this point, he definitely would be now.
His daze was interrupted when Changmin pushed himself up onto his elbows with a bit of effort, then turned himself over so he was on his knees. His tail waved high in the air as he exposed his smooth ass to Junsu.
That same, hidden part of Junsu’s mind that had told him to jerk of Changmin stepped in again at this point. Junsu had pretty much figured out what he was supposed to do anyway, and his mouth watered a little at the thought. He so desperately wanted to know what it would feel like to be inside Changmin.
Whispering hoarsely to Changmin to stay put for just a moment and ignoring his...lover’s pleas for him not to go, Junsu rushed over to the kitchen area and rummaged through all his jars of various foodstuffs, trying to find something, anything that could be used as a lubricant. Discovering a half-full container of honey, hoarded from the last time he had stumbled upon (or rather, into) a hive, he decided that he cared less for its use as a sweetener at the moment and more for the pressing task at hand. He unscrewed the lid as he ran back to Changmin, finding him getting ready again, one hand moving slowly up and down his own length as he waited, exactly as Junsu had told him.
Dipping one finger into the jar and coming back up with a generous gob of dripping sweetness, Junsu dropped down to one knee and pressed his fingertip against Changmin’s small entrance. Changmin clenched reflexively, shivering as a large rivulet of honey slowly made its way down his cleft and onto the ground. His tail wrapped around Junsu’s arm as he made to remove it though, silently telling him not to move from that spot as he moaned wordlessly into the ground, begging for more.
Junsu complied, slowly pushing his sticky finger into Changmin’s hole, shivering himself as he felt the tightness, every small movement, imagining his cock in that space instead of his finger. He paused, worried.
“What?” Changmin complained, pushing back, wanting more.
“I don’t want to hurt you, Changmin. You...you’re so tight, and...”
Changmin groaned, this time in exasperation. “Are you kidding me? You have lube and I have scary fast healing powers, remember?”
“But&mdash”
“Oh, just stop it.” Changmin emphasized each of his next words with a backwards push onto Junsu’s finger. “I. Want. You. In. Me.” He finished with Junsu’s finger completely in him, all the way up to the knuckle.
Junsu’s mind decided if Changmin didn’t mind, neither should he. He twisted his finger inside Changmin 180 degrees and was rewarded with a crescendoing moan.
Liberally adding honey and one finger at a time, Junsu twisted and stretched as Changmin’s hand moved faster and faster on his cock.
Junsu was in the process of twisting with three fingers when Changmin choked out, “Are you going to let me come without you in me? Because I am, at the rate you’re going.”
Junsu took the hint, removing his fingers with a loud, squelching pop. He scooped out another handful of honey into his palm and lathered himself in it before positioning himself. Taking a deep breath and steadying his hand as best he could, he pushed.
It was tight. His prep had loosened Changmin’s channel enough that it wasn’t impossible to push inside, inch by inch, but that didn’t mean it was easy. Each thrust of his hips didn’t seem to get him very far at all, and he once again worried that he was going to hurt Changmin.
Changmin’s hand faltered in its movement as he felt the stretch, the sensation of Junsu slowly filling him overwhelming all previous thoughts. His tail was wrapped tightly around Junsu’s waist, his ears were fully alert and quivering, and his eyes were closed in a mixture of pain and bliss. Feeling Junsu hesitate, he opened them again and growled, “Stop thinking and start feeling, damn it. I want you, just let me have you.”
Deciding it wasn’t worth it to argue when his own subconscious was telling him to move damn it, Junsu pushed as far in as he dared before withdrawing, slowly setting up a rhythm, or trying to. Changmin was pushing back against him as he was thrusting, the two of them an uneven counterpoint to each other. He lost himself in the intricacies of their rhythms coming together, forgetting everything save for the feeling of skin hitting skin and panting breaths and the heat of Changmin’s body around his.
Junsu could feel his orgasm swirling beneath the surface of his mind, rising ever upwards towards reality, and he knew Changmin was even closer; he felt his shuddering, losing his rhythm more and more until it was completely gone, and then he was coming again, screaming Junsu’s name to the wilderness outside, neither of them caring who heard. The only thing keeping them both off the ground as Changmin’s knees gave out was one of Junsu’s hands, which he was using to support Changmin’s body as his other threatened to slip out from under them. The fuzzy feeling of orgasm that had been threatening finally broke free as he felt Changmin spasm around him with his own release; that one last squeeze combined with how tight he had already been serving to blur out Junsu’s vision and completely break down his control as he too called out, screaming to the world that Changmin was his and no crazed bear or winter storm could take him away now.
He barely felt it when his honey-drenched hand finally slipped out from underneath the two of them and they hit the ground hard, Junsu slipping out of Changmin as they both landed on their sides. As his panting subsided and his sight more or less returned to normal, he curled around Changmin’s back, their sweaty bodies, sticky from bittersweet mixture of honey and come, fitting together perfectly. Changmin adjusted himself to Junsu’s body and the two of them just lay there, enjoying each other’s silent company and their steadily slowing heartbeats, which Junsu could feel through their intimate connection.
This relationship was not going to be just about sex, Junsu decided, though the sex had been great. They had already lived together for so long, cared for each other and saved each other’s lives long before any of this had happened. The sex would just be an additional perk to living with someone he loved and who loved him back in the same way.
A really nice, additional perk.
The ground might have been cold and unforgiving under their bodies but as he lay there, Junsu didn’t feel the chill. He felt the warmth of Changmin’s body against him and the heat of happily crackling fire, watching over them as they slowly drifted to sleep, smiling.
If they had been awake, they might have heard a fire sprite cackling away softly to itself as the forest around them echoed with the roar of the spirit of a great bear, making its way to its final resting place at last.

A/N: ...oh hey. I'm really sorry about not updating much ;o; I'm in school again and I really don't want to fail any of my classes. I know I have other stories to update and I've got a few other things I'm working on, but it'll be quite a while at this rate before I get around to finishing anything ><;; BUT I WILL. I SWEAR I WILL.
Thanks for reading this little story-remember, comments for virtual cookies! 8D
On another note, look, I'm helping to sell DBSK/JYJ/Homin (and randomly, Junsu) shirts! I've made a
pimp post about it, so go check it out! They're pretty cheap, considering the price of most fangoods I've seen, and the designer did a great job with them. Go go go! \^^/
