File #1 [Arrival]

[The communicator has been turned on, and its activation is not accompanied by a declaration of anger or fear, but merely puzzlement.]

Well, this is new. Can’t say I’m not used to smuggling rings shipping people out, but they don’t usually take pains to keep you comfortable. Or leave the door unlocked.

[Bryn was hung over, but not so much that she couldn't help a new passenger who at least had been kind enough to not scream over ShipNET.]

You're on a ship fulla crazy people, but there's free food and free room n'board and what not, so it's not so bad.

[Food sounded good right about then, honestly. A trip to the buffet might be in order. Bryn vaguely recalled hearing someone talking about ponk while she was waking up.]

[At least someone is talking. And food? Food? Gunnar could dance for this lady right now. His tone is still wary when he speaks though, because I mean really...]

I'm gonna want to hear about these crazy people more, but where's the free food?

Mm, you'll hear about them from all sorts of people I'm sure.

Deck four has a buffet, or if you're in the mood for Japanese, the Kuma-ko is on deck eight. The bears are totally friendly though so don't freak out alright? If you're lucky you could also catch Zeke or Herz in Sergei's on ten...they're passengers but they'll cook for anyone if you ask nicely.

[The thought of sushi didn't appeal however, and Bryn grabbed some clothes intending to head for the buffet.]

anyone who wants to run into him should tag here.... before Bryn eats him. forgivemesister January 10 2010, 23:51:09 UTC
Oh great.

[...Bears.]

...Right, bears, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.

[And Gunn decides to brave the deck four buffet, because he hasn't eaten in 24 hours and he's really, really hungry. So, carefully cautious, he leaves his room, noting the number and the deck number, and heads to the buffet.

He arrives there soon enough, a man with a purpose, glancing around at anyone whose in there but not talking to them just yet. For all he knows its some kind of floating crazy house.]

Ship full of crazy people, I'm guessing. I just showed up myself.

Definitely a ship full of crazy people from what I've heard.

What were you doing before you got here?

I got yet to meet most of the crazy ones but I heard they're around.

Oh, mercy. That one's... an interesting story, if you'd believe it. What about you?

You'd be surprised what I believe, and I'm all ears.

[Gunnar's a little suspicious.]

I was investigating a smuggling ring.

That's about what I figured, when I first got here... the part about the unlocked door. Doesn't fit the usual kidnapping profile.

Of course, if we're already on a boat being shipped somewhere, they may figure we can't do much damage on our own. Especially if the crew is hiding.

Or they coulda been playing a game with us. Some bastards are just sadistic enough for that.

I wouldn't put it past them, from what I've heard about the captain.

[Captain could be a decoy, though.]

Sadistic bastards and games aside, how'd you get here? Same as everyone else?
