right now i am drinking alcohol for the first time since i tested. if i had my way, i would be completely wasted all the time until i had a miscarriage. then i would cheer and cry in happiness for days and months. but i don't think things like this happen. like when you're hoping for your period, you're less likely to actually get it because of ( Read more... )

You shouldn't drink. Not for the sake of trying to miscarriage, cuz you're getting this abortion anyhow--for your own sake so you're healthy when you have this procedure and all goes accordingly. Last thing you'd want is for things to get fucked up with your body if it's not all that topnotch. Drinking or putting any toxins in your body before a serious surgery or medical procedure increases your risks of complications. Bet bet is to try and stay as healthy as you can until it happens.

you're right!

but it's still two weeks away, so i'm not too worried about it. if i were having any other kind of surgery i would probably be doing the same thing anyway. maybe that's bad, too. /shrug

Yeah, I had a different type of surgery, and they said no alcohol, and no ibproufin or advil either -- the first thins the blood and the second makes you bleed more.

No you are all wrong. Saying not to drink a week or two weeks, before surgery or a medical procedure, is like being born and never drinking, because you may have a medical procedure sometime in your life time. If you are going to have a medical prodecure, the doctors will tell you not to drink 24-72 hours at the most, before this procedure. Because, at the most, alcohol does not take this long to wear off.

Not mention, knowing "Mama" as I like to call her, I know that she will follow doctors orders to a T, because she knows that her body may and will be in harm during this prodecure.
