spotting

i woke up today with something that i can only define as a "hangover" but it wasn't even similar. i had three drinks over the course of 8 hours last night, slept for seven hours, and drank tons of water. i had no headache, but constant nausea. i imagine this is what vertigo feels like. as my day progressed, it subsided, but i could barely keep my ( Read more... )

I just found out about your journal today... I wish you good luck.

BTW, don't mind the trolls, they show up everywhere these days.

Ok, I was pregnatant when I was 19 and I had some spotting. When I went to the doctor they did an ultra sound and could not find the fetus. I was pretty scared when they told me they might have to do surgery because it was an ectopic pregnancy. As it turned out I was fine and it was totally normal. I'm sure you have heard this a gazilion times, but seriously I know all too well what you are going through...if you ever want to talk, let me know. (and I stress, all too well) As I am sure you learned today, it is a very serious thing if it is ectopic so please see your doctor asap. Best to you.

Oh geez.

Ok, first of all, it could be any of that, it could be something else, it could be nothing.

I know a woman who had a *ruptured* ectopic in June 2002, culminating in emergency surgery to remove both the ectopic *and* the tube it was implanted in. She's been pregnant THREE TIMES since then, and no, I do not have my dates wrong. I took her to the hospital. ;)

Second, even if you have a "normal" miscarriage, oh holy criminey, women have miscarriages all the freaking time. Some estimates range up to sixty-five percent of all pregnancies. Clearly, 65% of the women in the world are NOT infertile. Hell, women have miscarriages all the damned time and don't even GO to the doctor (note that I'm not suggesting this as a good idea for you)....goodness, some women don't even know they're MISCARRYING ( ... )

Hi there,

I've been reading but not commenting, as I know this journal is public and I don't need too much of my info going out to others.

I just wanted to say that your spotting sounds normal for what week you are in. It's when the embryo is implanting into the uterus. It's mild spotting and shouldn't last more than 1-2 days. If it gets heavier or there are bad cramps with the spotting, THEN call the doctor.

Also, morning sickness SUBSIDES by the second trimester. Usually the time I woman hits 12-13 weeks all symptoms of morning sickness are fading and passing. I am 14 weeks and 4 days pregnant right now. I feel great and I didn't have ANY morning sickness. But the doc said that if I had, then it would have subsided by now.

I've been in your situation before.... if you want to ask me my stories, email me SuzanneMacNeil@gmail.com

Good luck,
Suzanne
