Best thing you can do in my opinion? Don't push it, keep in contact with her while she's away, see how things progress when she gets back and if you reckon it could work, don't be fool enough to take her absence as implicit permission to play around in the meantime. If she means a thing to you then four months won't be a problem.
Speaking from experience, patience is a virtue and if it pays off it'll be the best thing you ever did.
