[ It was only pure luck that Yuan's message managed to get to Martel. For the past few weeks, she has been searching for her missing brother non-stop. She would have enlisted help from others, but she was aware of Mithos' lack of popularity with everyone (with the exception of Kaori of course).
Although burdened with worry, she was able to notice the mysteriousness of Yuan's message. As a matter of fact, how long has it been since she last heard of him? While he was indeed avoiding her, he at least had the curtsey to check on her once in awhile. ]
Uh . . . I'm really sorry but there's something that really needs my attention.
[ As much as she wanted to talk to Yuan, finding Mithos came first. ]

[ She can feel that he's freezing up. She knows that she should have kept her distance, but she still keeps her hold around him. There was just that desperate need for comfort inside of her and hugging Yuan was the only thing that could do it.
She knows why he's doing this. She knows that this is probably the only option left. Even she didn't know what to do with Mithos, but damn, she really didn't want to have her only brother imprisoned for who knows how long.
But what else was there to do? Talking to him wasn't an option. Even the mere mention of how he was wrong brought him to the edge.
Why couldn't life have just left her dead? It seems as though fate just really loved to fool around with her. ]

There's... nothing I can do.
[Because letting Mithos out or even making things remotely easier for him down there ensures he won't learn his lesson. He's down there to be punished, not to suffer a minor inconvenience. He can make it easier for Martel, though.]
... You can go see him, if you like. Just as long as you don't release him.
[ Her sobs slowly tune down to small sniffles. She (reluctantly) lets go of Yuan. It was becoming apparent that he wasn't going to change his mind any time soon.
She can see that he wasn't intending to be cruel to either her or Mithos. If he was, why was he giving her the chance to see him? Wiping off the remaining tears, she numbly nods her head and says in a oddly quiet voice. ]
[Once Martel releases him, he breathes a deep sigh, feelings of both freedom and mild loneliness washing over him. He has to accompany her there, because of the traps that were set in the tunnel, but he's definitely not looking forward to it. If Mithos sees him with Martel, he'll just throw another fit. Well, perhaps Yuan can lead her to the cell and then wait a short distance away.]
[ She looks at him expectantly and follows his lead. When they come up to the tunnel, she suppresses a cry at the thought of her brother staying in such a dark place.
She's at first perplexed by the certain route Yuan takes but eventually realizes that they're probably moving away from the traps. Leave it to Yuan to take precautions. Especially when it involves her brother. Whether this was a good or bad sign she did not know. ]
[As they proceed through the damp hall, Yuan avoids conversation as much as possible. Mithos may be trapped securely, but he'd still rather not alert Cruxis' former leader of his presence and voices can echo pretty far in this tunnel system.
It isn't too much of a walk. A few minutes, at the most.]
[ It was easy to avoid a conversation with her. She wasn't really in much of a talking mood. Then again who would be when your fiancee just confessed to imprisoning your younger brother? ]
[Mithos hears the sound of footsteps drawing nearer, and wonders (in the most irate, bitter, and malicious sense of the word) which of his captors it is.
Then he hears his sister's voice. A sense of relief bursts in him for a clipped moment, before it drowns under a strong current of dread.] Martel...?
[She shouldn't be down here. What is she doing here? She isn't yet in his field of vision, so he rushes to the row of metal bars that compose the front of the cell to try to locate her.] Martel!
[Yuan was just about to answer Martel's question when Mithos' voice rings through the tunnel and he instantly slows his walk. He knows what will happen when Mithos sees him with his sister; another conflict. Another one of many pointless arguments. That's not something he's looking forward to.
He stops walking, gesturing in the direction of Mithos' cell with a quick jerk of his head. It should be fine for Martel to keep going from here on out. He'll wait in case there's a problem.]
[ She approaches the cell and reaches out to him between the bars. Her head briefly turns back to see Yuan lingering in the shadows. She had to admit that was a slight relief. Seeing Mithos and him argue was the last thing she wanted to see. ]
[He immediately clasps her hand in his and squeezes.] Are you okay? What are you doing down here?
[Someone had to have told her, and that someone has to be either Yuan, Raine, or Sheena. Regardless of which, it doesn't sit well with him. They can insist all they want that they have no desire to hurt Martel, he doesn't trust them.]
Someone...you trust? [It's clear from his expression that he doesn't understand. Who in this village could Martel possibly trust? There's Kaori, but she doesn't know about this. His brow furrows in concern.] Martel, who...?
[Her question is strange. Does she know why he's here? He still doesn't understand how she's here, or who told her. None of this makes sense...he can't put himself at ease.]
I'm here because Yuan and a few of Lloyd's companions decided it's necessary. They still insist on the same stupid game of right and wrong. [That isn't what's important right now - this is the first time he's seen his sister in weeks, and he doesn't want to be angry around her.]
You're sure that you're alright? You aren't in danger here, are you?

Don't worry. I'm fine.
Ah, about who brought me here . . .
[ Her eyes briefly glanced over to where Yuan is before looking back at Mithos. ]
I'm afraid I can't say, but someone I can trust.

[ She didn't want to mention who it was that brought her here. An argument between him and Yuan was the last thing she wanted. ]
But I need to talk with you. It's important. Do you know why you're here?
