my cousin, Mary Karen Read, was buried today.  she died in the virginia tech shooting.  i never met her, as her parents divorced and she lived out of the country for much of her life, but she sounds like an amazing person, and i know my uncle is absolutely devastated.  my mom said over 1000 people attended her funeral.  seriously, this whole ( Read more... )

I skiied for six hours today!  impressive, considering that i hate the cold with a deep, deep passion.  i thought i would get whiny and bored, but man, i was so pumped!  it was absolutely the most fun i've had in a long time.  i demand that this happen at least one more time before the snow melts and it is spring.
